PTsO Committees

Interested in becoming more involved in PTsO? Try joining one of the following PTsO Committees. We have many projects and events during the year and need your help. Whether you want to be actively involved or just devote an hour or two of your time, we have something that will fit your schedule. If the chair position is listed as TBD, we are looking for someone to head the committee!

Dad's Club: Organizes and completes projects on school grounds (i.e., playground painting, landscaping, etc.).  Chair: Chris Reynolds.  Dad's Club Newsletter

Grant Writing:  Submits applications/letters for education funding.  Chair:  Keith Schick

Yearbook:  Includes photography and editing of yearbook.  The Yearbook Committee is specifically looking for those willing to submit pictures of school events/classes throughout the school year.  Chair:  Kim Hildebrand

School Spirit Events:  Organizes school wide spirit events throughout the year.  Chair:  TBD

Parent Info & Education Nights:  Coordinates with community partners to bring in relevant speakers (i.e.,Children's Hospital focusing on preventing sports injuries, Investigations Math Program overview).  Chair:  Indira Duggirala

Community Outreach:  Service projects within the SVE community. Chair:  Laura Mutton

After School Enrichment:  Research and bring in a variety of opportunities for educational enrichment (i.e., Kidz Stage, Spanish, and Leadership Training).

Staff Appreciation:  Organizes special events and treats throughout the year for SVE staff including Teacher Appreciation Week in May.  Chair:  Kelly Pointer

The Spirit Zone:  Our school spirit store.  TSZ offers a selection of SVE-themed items and fun novelties.  TSZ is open Wednesdays, after school from 3:30 - 4:00.  Spirit wear is also available by downloading an order form and returning to SVE.  Chair: Karen Sandoval

Fundraising:

Move A Thon:  Raises money for Teacher Grants and PTsO operating funds. Goal:  $30,000  Chair:  Amanda Ford

Poinsettia & Gift Card Sales:  A new program perfect for holiday gift giving.  Gift cards purchased at face value provide a percentage reward directly to SVE.  Gift Card pickup is coordinated with our annual Poinsettia and Cactus sales.  Chair:  Susan Lucyk

Movie Madness & Silent Auction: 2nd Annual Movie Madness and Silent Auction event is a family fun night with movies, popcorn, candy, and great auction items up for bid.  Chair:  Valerie Newsum & Jen Jones
